It kind of bothers me when,
People call other people Hypebeasts just cause they buy the same clothes as everyone else. For one, You yourself could have those clothes, therefore you’re calling yourself a Hypebeast. Two, Just because someone buys it, doesn’t mean they’re following the Hype.
I sure as hell buy shit that a lot of other people wear, like Illest, Diamond Supply, Obey, Fatlace, Letterman Jackets, Anything from Karmaloop, Good Wood, Leather Jackets, TOMS, Greenhill Crewnecks, Any crewneck, Vans. Shit like that. Just because I buy that shit doesn’t mean that I’m following the Hype, I buy it cause I sure as hell fucking like it. I don’t buy it cause everyone else buys it. I buy it because it’s something I like. I don’t give two shits if a thousand other people have it too.
Why do other people care about what other people buy, and just assume they’re a Hypebeast? Get over it, if you’re taking the time to call someone else one, you probably are one.
Don’t call out someone else for liking certain clothes. Go ahead and call them a Hypebeast if you hear that person say “Oh I’m buying that cause he or she has it!” That’s following the Hype. Not if someone says “I saw this crewneck on this website, I think I might get one because I like the look of it” BIG DIFFERENCE.
Listen before you judge.
Fuck The Hype. If you like it cause YOU do. Then get it.
